The HELIX-DSP.3 is a newly refined digital signal processor based on the highly acclaimed HELIX-DSP.2, designed to deliver higher sound quality and smoother operation. The housing size and side panel layout remain unchanged, making it easy to upgrade from existing HELIX systems or integrate into tight installation spaces.

A new 32-bit co-processor enables much faster memory switching and internal control, while a 64-bit DSP running at 96 kHz / 32-bit provides extremely precise audio processing. Combined with high-grade A/D and D/A converters from Asahi Kasei Microdevices and premium operational amplifiers, the DSP.3 achieves a total harmonic distortion of less than 0.0006% and an S/N ratio of over 114 dB (with digital input).

Inputs include 6-channel high-level, 6-channel RCA, and optical digital input (96 kHz / 24-bit), plus a dedicated HEC card slot. By adding the optional HELIX EXTENSION CARD, the system can accept hi-resolution signals up to 192 kHz / 32-bit.

The 6-channel high-level input section can be mixed, allowing you to combine signals from OEM multi-channel systems into an almost full-range signal. The newly developed ADEP.3 circuit prevents error detection from OEM head units when they sense a light load, eliminating the need for dummy load resistors and reducing installation complexity.

Operating voltage ranges from 9.6 V to 16.0 V, and the unit is designed not to shut down even if the voltage briefly drops to 6 V for up to 5 seconds. This helps to avoid audio dropouts in vehicles equipped with start/stop systems (excluding interruptions caused by the source unit).

The HELIX-DSP.3 is fully compatible with the ATF PC-TOOL software Version 4.xx, allowing independent 8-channel tuning of crossover, EQ, time alignment, phase, and more. All adjustments are applied in real time, so you can fine-tune your sound while listening without stress.

With the optional DIRECTOR or URC-3 remote controls, you can easily adjust volume, switch between analog and digital inputs, and recall sound memories from the driver’s seat.
